Oct 14, 2007 Sermon by Preacher Doc Sermon for thinking Readers! This GOD's Day/Sunday we are at sequential Divine Miracle #40, "The Ascension of CHRIST Into Heaven! Most Theologians do not include this Divine Miracle in their list of (37) Divine Miracles by Jesus. Notice, I said, "The Ascension of CHRIST into Heaven!" Because in this Preacher's opinion, when Jesus was alive on this Earth as Jesus. He was among the Jews. When He began His Ministry ("Transforming Water Into Wine"). Jesus Performed His first PROOF; - of being Jesus, The CHRIST ! When the jealous and criminal Jewish leaders MURDERED Jesus to try to stop His developing the CHRISTian Religion; there were many that recognized Him as Jesus The CHRIST, The Son of GOD ! And when Jesus The CHRIST Rose from the dead, PROVING SALVATION ! He then and Forever, is The CHRIST with the GOD, with instantaneous and complete Judgment, of all Souls! Notice and comprehend the stages: of a youthful Jesus, the developing Ministry and Religion of CHRISTianity, the at least 40 Divine PROOFs of GOD and CHRIST's Divinity and the Eternal, Living GOD and CHRIST with instantaneous and complete Judgment of yours, mine and all Souls! In this Preacher's Theological opinion, said awareness and comprehension, requires intelligent, scholarly thinking! Is there any PROOF of this opinion? I quote the "NEW TESTAMENT", the EYEWITNESS Apostle Mark, chapter 16, verses 19-20. "So then (after JESUS CHRIST had gathered and Commanded the Apostles to "Go forth and Preach to all Nations.") the Lord, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into Heaven. And sits at the Right Hand of (Judgment, with) GOD ! And they went forth and Preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with Them and confirmed the Preaching (of CHRISTianity) by Signs that followed. Amen." And there is corroboration per the EYEWITNESS Apostle Luke (who was a Physician) "NEW TESTAMENT", chapter 24, verses 50 - 52. "Now He led Them (the 11 Apostles) out towards Bethany, and raised up His hands and Blessed Them. And it came to pass as He Blessed Them, that He parted from Them and was Carried Up Into Heaven. And They Worshipped Him. (Prayed to the Divine CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOR AND GOD as you and I are Commanded to do to Save our Eternal Souls !)" Please note, seven days ago, a 'long time' in the fickle dedication of millions on this earth. This Preacher's Sermon was "PROOF to Thomas and ANY Doubter!" With Yours Truly emphasizing CHRIST's Words, "DO NOT BE DISBELIEVING, BE BELIEVING !" This GOD's Day/Sunday, we progress to Divine Miracle #38, "The Resurrected CHRIST Appears Before 500 Humans !" Some doubters waver back and forth, because, "- the Sermon and PROOF in Miracle #37 is about the Apostles. The Apostles were with Jesus CHRIST, and they are special, exceptional Eyewitnesses. -- Not for a 'regular man' like me; it's different." Self excuse (alibiing to one's self). Please note, that in my previous Sermon, Yours Truly specifically emphasized, "- ANY Doubter!" Further, in the "NEW TESTAMENT" under the title, "Evangelist's Epilogue." The Miracle of CHRIST's Resurrected Appearance is before 500 ! Yes, 500 and they are 'regular humans' just like you and me. I call your attention to John, chapter 20, verses 30-31 where John writes: "Many other (than the PROOF to Thomas) Signs (Miracles) Jesus Performed in the sight of His Disciples, (and at least 500 more saw Him after His Resurrection !) that are not written in this Book. (The NEW TESTAMENT of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus CHRIST) But these are written that you may Believe that Jesus is the CHRIST, the Son of GOD. And that Believing you may have Life (Eternal Salvation) in His Name." Therefore, quit alibiing to yourself, GET WITH IT ! When CHRIST appeared before the Apostles the second time, Thomas was there, and CHRIST called to the doubter to 'rhyme'! "Thomas, see the wounds by the nails and the gash by the spear. Blessed are those who do not see, yet Believe, for them Paradise is near!" Preacher Doc, who suggests "The PROOF to Thomas definitely applies to ANY doubter!" Sept 30, 2007 Sermon by Preacher Doc A billion plus, on earth, today, doubt. (Reason, they have not been Educated about the PROVEN Divinity of GOD and CHRIST; and they do not read this Evangelical Website.) There is the saying, "It is natural to doubt." However, when you doubt the Divinity of GOD and CHRIST, you are 'playing with fire' (condemnation)! Please note here sequential Divine Miracle #36, "CHRIST Appears Before the Apostles!" This Preacher explained and emphasized the importance of being a Believer to obtain Salvation and Eternal Paradise! It is significant that in Divine Miracle #37, the Lesson of not to doubt GOD and CHRIST is forcefully Presented by CHRIST Jesus to the Apostle Thomas. Hum-m, nature being what it is, Thomas considered it too incredible, that Jesus died and then was RESURRECTED and appeared before the (ten, Thomas was not there) Apostles as the Divine, Universal Spirit, CHRIST Jesus. Thomas said, "Unless I see with my own eyes, CHRIST Jesus, in person, put my finger into the hole of the nails in his hands and put my hand into the spear cut in His side; I do not believe." Now, I quote the EYEWITNESS Apostle John, chapter 20, verses 24 - 29. "Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, this time was with them (when Jesus Appeared before the Apostles, this second time). Jesus CHRIST stood in their midst, and said, "Peace be with you." Then He said to Thomas, "Bring here your finger, and see my hands; and bring here your hand, and put it into my side; and be not disbelieving but Believing!" Thomas answered ((PLEASE NOTICE THE TREMENDOUS ANSWER!)) and said to Him, "My Lord and my GOD!" Jesus CHRIST said to Thomas, "Because you have seen Me, you have Believed. In sequential Miracle 36, CHRIST again PROVES He has Risen! Jesus CHRIST appears before the Apostles, gathered one night. Don't be fooled and doubt this Miracle of CHRIST's Divine Might! Thus, the Apostles and thousands, within that ambiance, Were a part of and WITNESSES of Miracle 36's importance! They told of CHRIST's RESURRECTION, Thus Believers do not die. They Rise to be in Paradise as Jesus CHRIST, PROVED to You and I ! Preacher Doc, who states, "Believers, DO RISE to be with Jesus CHRIST for Eternity in Paradise!" Sept 23, 2007 Sermon by Preacher Doc Honorable Sisters and Brothers, Realize that as this planet 'gets smaller' (jet planes, in hours can cover the planet) our responsibility to be able to 'handle' the Religious and Philosophical challenges, increase! Within the past decade, Theologians and Philosophers have become a closer, harmonious duo! (Centuries ago, Philosophers bitterly opposed 'close ties' with Religion.) Today, our better Theologians and Philosophers HAVE DUO, ACADEMIC MEETINGS ! This achievement obtains great progress toward raising the State of the Art of each discipline! Please note, Religion is the study of beliefs; Philosophy is the study of opinions. Example in Religion: "I Believe in the Divinity of GOD and CHRIST !" Example Philosophy: "In my opinion, there are 40 major, recorded miracles in the "NEW TESTAMENT" !" You may have noticed, that this Theologian has joined those who list and present said 40 miracles, sequentially! Further, this Preacher takes the lead in "rating" the 40 Divine Miracles per their Power of PROOF ! (Power to enlighten Readers to accept and convert to GOD and CHRIST ! And I then suggest, "The Soul you Save will be YOUR OWN !" Philosophically, for Sequential Divine Miracle #34, I include the "Healing of Malchus' Ear !" (Per Apostle Luke, 18:51) Said Divine Miracle is not listed in the 'official' (major) Miracles of Jesus. In this Theologian's opinion, it should be listed, reason, contains the warning by Jesus CHRIST, "Those that live by the sword, die by the sword." And is the last Miracle Jesus CHRIST Performs before "The RESURRECTION !" Philosophically, this Preacher includes, just before "The RESURRECTION !"; Jesus CHRIST's "Claim of Divinity !" Because after His RESURRECTION, CHRIST "pours out His Divine Blessing for all to accept, Believe and obtain Paradise with Him and GOD in Paradise!" A MUST is the adding of the Divine Miracles by GOD and CHRIST of "The RESURRECTION" and "The ASCENSION." This GOD's Day/Sunday we are at Divine Miracle #33, "Jesus Curses a Fig Tree," in the sequential Life and Miracles of Jesus CHRIST. Years ago, when my primary vocation was Science, I was critically analyzing each of Jesus CHRIST's Divine Miracles. This Divine Miracle of Jesus cursing a fig tree caused me some concern. Does this sound as if Jesus actually said this? We now read and study this in the Bible. See Mark, Chapter 11 vs 12-24 On the next day, after they (Jesus and His Disciples) had left Bethany. He felt hungry; and seeing a fig tree in the distance. He went to it, to obtain (necessary) nourishment. When He came upon it, there was no food. Thus, Jesus cursed the fig tree. (For giving false hope to a traveler on the hot desert, in need of nourishment, taking the time and energy to further travel to this nonfood producing fig tree). Then, they proceeded on to Jerusalem. And Jesus entered the temple, and began to cast out those who were moneychangers or those selling doves. The purchase of which, 'bought you Heaven with the previous prophets.' Jesus spoke, "Is it not written, 'My House shall be called a House of Prayer'.But you have made it a den of thieves." Those that did not want Jesus to correct their sinful practices, sought ways to kill Him. The next morning, as they passed by that same fig tree. The Disciples saw that it was burnt and withered, to the ground. And Peter, remembering, said to Jesus, " Rabbi, behold, the fig tree that Thou did curse is withered to the ground!" Thus Jesus, The CHRIST, Preached: "Have Faith in GOD. Amen I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Arise, and hurl thyself into the sea.'" (That is; GOD with Divine Power, CREATED this World, and on The Last Day (Day of Judgment) could end this material World !) For, the Believer who does not waver in his heart (keeps the Faith). And Believes in GOD and Salvation. Eternal Salvation will be Granted to that Believer." In my opinion, what CHRIST is further Demonstrating is GOD's and His Divine Power ! (defiant sinners face at Judgment) Believers will be Granted, "Paradise!" Fully defiant sinners (blasphemers) will not ! Teacher-Brother Dave comments: Some Bible Scholars believe that certain Gospel writers who were familiar with Jeremiah 8:13 thought that Jesus was disappointed with the barren fig tree as a metaphorical parable of Jesus' disappointment with Israel. Others, including myself, believe that Jesus' alleged "cursing of a barren fig tree" is a gross confusion of Jesus' actual words. Here is a version that rings True with me: Jesus' Parable of the Fig Tree "There was a certain man who planted a fig tree in his yard, and when he had many times sought fruit thereon and found none, he called the vinedressers before him and said: 'Here have I come these three seasons looking for fruit on this fig tree and have found none. Cut down this barren tree; why should it encumber the ground?' But the head gardener answered his master: 'Let it alone for one more year so that I may dig around it and put on fertilizer, and then, next year, if it bears no fruit, it shall be cut down.' And when they had thus complied with the laws of fruitfulness, since the tree was living and good, they were rewarded with an abundant yield." However, he cried out all the louder, "Son of David* have mercy on me!" Thus, Jesus stopped and Commanded that he should be brought to Him. And when the blind Man drew near, Jesus asked him, saying, "What would you have Me do for you?" And the blind Man, known by name, Bartimeus, Prayed, "Lord, that I may see!" And Jesus CHRIST said to him, "Receive your sight, your Faith has Saved you." And at once Bartimeus received his sight, and followed CHRIST, Glorifying GOD ! And all the People upon seeing this POWERFUL, Divine Miracle gave Praise to GOD ! I explain, please: In Divine Miracle #31, "CHRIST, Cleanses Ten Lepers." See Luke, chapter 17, verses 11-19. When the ten lepers saw Jesus approaching their village. They cried out in Prayer, "Jesus, Master have pity on us!" Their pleading Prayer, for Jesus The CHRIST to Miraculously cleanse their leprosy! Jesus, seeing their horrible condition, said, "Go, show yourselves to the ruling Rabbis." ----- The reason for this was: Jesus, Preached that He was sent by "The Father," GOD and IS the Son of GOD and "The way" to Saving your Soul! While the ruling Rabbis, Pharisees and Scribes made 'laws.' Whereby, for a price, money, etc., they were the only ones to 'cleanse' you; except on Saturdays. (!?) Now, as the ten lepers were *ON THEIR WAY to the Rabbis. THEY BECAME CLEAN ! One of them, a Samaritan and not from that area, therefore a 'foreigner.' Seeing that he was now cured, clean! Returned to Jesus to give "Thanks" and Glorify the Divine Power of GOD ! [Note * Jesus healed them BEFORE they presented themselves to the "ruling Rabbis" !] Now Jesus said, (Preached): "I cured ten. And only one of the ten returns, to give "Thanks," Therefore, Jesus CHRIST said, "Arise, go your way, for your Faith has Saved your Eternal Soul." "Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a Man walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if he walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not with him." These things He spoke, then said to them, "Lazarus, our Friend (Believer), sleeps (only dead per this mortal world). I am going that I may wake him from 'sleep.' His Disciples therefore said, "Lord, if he sleeps, he will be safe." Now Jesus had spoken of the 'sleep of death.' The Disciples thought He was speaking of the repose of sleep. Thus, Jesus said to them plainly, "Lazarus is dead; and I rejoice on your account that I was not there, that you may Believe. Thus, let us go to him." Thomas, who is called the Twin, said therefore to his fellow Disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die (be stoned by the Jews) with Him." Jesus therefore came and found him (Lazarus) already four days in the tomb. Now Bethany was close to Jerusalem, some fifteen stadia (about 25 miles) distant. And many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to comfort them on account of their Brother. When, therefore, Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet Him. But Mary remained at Home. Martha therefore said to Jesus, "Lord if Thou hadst been here my Brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever Thou shalt ask of GOD, GOD will give it to Thee!" And Jesus wept. The Jews therefore said, "See how He cared for His Friend Lazarus." But some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind have caused that this Man should not die?" Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was laid against it. Jesus said, "Take away the stone." When He had said this, He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth." "And at once he who had been dead came forth, bound feet and hands with bandages, and his face was tied up with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go." Then most in the large crowd that was watching and had seen Jesus, Raise Lazarus form the dead, Believed Jesus to be the Son of God. But a few, went to the Pharisees, and told them what Jesus had done. The jealous chief priest and Pharisees, gathered in council, and said, "What do we do? (How can we outlaw Jesus?) For Jesus doeth many Miracles! If we let Him continue, all Men will Believe in Him. And the Romans will come and take away our places (as the rulers) and the nation. And one of them named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, "Ye know nothing at all, now consider that it is expedient for us, that one Man shall die for the people, and that the whole Nation perish not. And this he spake, not for himself; but being high priest that year, he meant to murder Jesus, to keep their ruling places." My conclusion: YOU, and YOU, and especially YOU, M U S T BELIEVE IN THE DIVINITY OF G O D AND C H R I S T . What PROOF is there? In reality, today, all or most challengers vs. Jesus have a couple of days off from work (a weekend) and a couple of hours at night, Mon. - Fri. The Pharisees spent every possible hour of every day and night to be the 'last word' about Religion. THAT is the "scene" when Jesus enters the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees! I quote the "NEW TESTAMENT", the Apostle Luke, chapter 14, verses 1-6. "And it came to pass, when He (Jesus) entered the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to take food, that they (ruling Pharisees) watched Him. And behold, there was a certain Man before Him who had the "dropsy". [edema: abnormal infiltration/accumulation of serous (thin, watery) fluid in connective tissue or in the serous cavity]. And Jesus asked the Lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to cure on the Sabbath?" But they remained silent. And Jesus took and Healed the Man and let him go! Then addressing them, Jesus said, "Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit, and will not immediately draw him up on the Sabbath?" And they could give Him no answer to these things (forbid Him to not Heal and Cleanse, Believers on the Sabbath)!" There will be the weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, but you yourselves cast outside. And they will come from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south, and will feast in the kingdom of God. And behold, there are those last who will be first, and there are those first who will be last." The 'debate' concerning "The Man Born Blind." is reprinted, word for word; read, comprehend, THEN YOU DECIDE ! "And as He was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who has sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither has this man sinned nor his parents, but the works of God were to be made manifest in him. I must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day, night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world I AM the Light of the world." When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the spittle, and spread the clay over his eyes, and said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloe." (which is interpreted "sent")." So he went away and washed, and returned seeing. The neighbors therefore and they who were wont to see him before as a beggar, began saying, "Is not this he who used to sit and beg?" Some said, "It is he." But others said, "By no means, he only resembles him." Yet the man declared, "I am he." They therefore said to him, "How were thy eyes opened?" He therefore said, "Whether he is a sinner, I do not know. One thing I do know, that whereas I was blind, now I see." They therefore said to him, "What did he do to thee? How did he open thy eyes?" Jesus heard that they had turned him out, and when He found him, said to him, "Do you believe in the Son of God?" He answered and said, "Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in him?" And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen him, and He it is Who speaks with you." And he said, "I believe Lord." And falling down, he whorshipped Him. And Jesus said, "For saving judgment I have come into this world; for they who do not spiritually see may see, and they who falsely see are actually blind." And some of the Pharisees who were with him heard this, and they said to him, "Are we also blind?" Jesus said to them,"If you were blind, you would not have sin.
